The World St. Thomas More Society: A Catholic Apostolate for Human Life, True Marriage, Family and Chastity
Special Lenten message from Mr. Little
Week 3 - Monday, March 16, 2009

Dear Catholic Brothers and Sisters,

Serious prayer, fasting and almsgiving is the pathway to sainthood. All If you truly want to join us and become a Saint, you must know and love and serve God before all else. That is the truth which I am sure you already know.

You also must know your enemy and the enemy of God.

Our Real Satan and his minions, fallen angels and men. This letter will be limited to official documents and expert opinion. Satan is real and never more active than today in March of 2009. As evidenced in last week's letter, we as a human race are murdering 150,000,000 innocent children every year in their mother's wombs.

We have fallen for Satan's lies, deceits and murder hook, line and sinker.

What does the official Church teach about the Satan, the Devil and the fallen angels?

Take the time to read, even study these documents I implore you. A soldier is trained to know his enemy. We are, by our Confirmation as Roman Catholics, Soldiers of Christ.

But first a here and listen to Dr. Peter will never listen to a better 53 minutes on what the answer is to the culture of death.

Come back though, for we all need this formation!

From the New Testament:

Rev.12:9 "And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world -- he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."

Luke.10:18 "And (Jesus) said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."

John 13: 26 ..."So when He had dipped the morsel, He gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 Then after the morsel, Satan entered into him. 30 So, after receiving the morsel, he immediately went out; and it was night."

John.6: 70 "Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

Luke.22:48  "but Jesus said to him, "Judas, would you betray the Son of man with a kiss?" (Comment: the Devil often uses false affection to seduce and deceive.)

Matt.26:24  "...woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born (conceived)." (Comment: There is nothing worse than never being conceived, except being born and going to Hell; these words of Christ are why many and I believe Judas is in Hell.)

Luke 22:31 "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren." (Comment: Even the best of us, like St. Peter can betray Christ; I know I have many times. But we can "turn", truly repent.)

From the Second Edition of the Catechism of the Catholic Church: Please read from Paragraph 385 to paragraph 421 here.

Please pray, fast and give alms seriously. In our humble opinion there is no more worthy organization other than your parish to give alms to than the St. Thomas More Society.  Pray with us using the Novena here.

Fast and unite that great sacrifice with us here: Give Alms

In serious prayer, first is the Mass, daily if possible. Then comes adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Here is the latest on adoration from our Holy Father:

VATICAN CITY, MARCH 13, 2009 ( Benedict XVI is calling for a renewal of Eucharistic adoration, which he said helps to bring about a "fundamental transformation."

The Pope said this today upon receiving in audience participants in the plenary assembly of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, who have been meeting to consider the question of Eucharistic adoration.

The Pontiff said he hoped the meeting would help to clarify "the liturgical and pastoral means by which the Church of our time can promote faith in the Real Presence of the Lord in the Blessed Eucharist, and to ensure that the celebration of Mass fully incorporates the aspect of adoration."

"The doctrine of the transubstantiation of the bread and wine, and of the Real Presence, are a truth of faith," the Holy Father affirmed, "already evident in sacred Scripture and later confirmed by the Fathers of the Church."

"Adoration must become union," Benedict XVI added, "union with the living Lord and with His mystical Body."

Citing his address at the 2005 World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany, Benedict XVI explained that in the Eucharist, "God no longer simply stands before us as the One who is totally Other. He is within us, and we are in Him. His dynamic enters into us and then seeks to spread outward to others until it fills the world, so that His love can truly become the dominant measure of the world."

The Pontiff said that in Cologne he also told the youth present that in the Eucharist "we experience the fundamental transformation of violence into love, of death into life. This brings other changes in its wake."

He noted that a renewal of Eucharistic adoration "will only be possible through a greater awareness of the mystery in complete faithfulness to sacred Tradition, and by enhancing liturgical life within our communities."

Benedict XVI also noted "three penitential practices particularly dear to biblical and Christian tradition (prayer, almsgiving and fasting)," and urged the faithful to "encourage one another to rediscover and practice fasting with renewed fervor, not only as a form of asceticism but also as a preparation for the Eucharist and as a spiritual weapon to fight against any disordered attachment to ourselves."

PRAY and FAST Seriously, and GIVE ALMS from your Substance

Next week we will talk about the serious need for clerical reform in the Church. Remember that the only people who really change the world are Saints. And you too can be a Saint. Believe it. There is a clear path. Contact me here to discuss it. I so much look forward to hearing from you.

Lenten blessings in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
